Are the residential areas coed?+

All Hero’s Path campuses’ residential areas are gender specific to help foster a comfortable and secure treatment experience.

Do you treat mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD?+

We understand that many veterans struggle with mental health disorders and use alcohol or drugs as a means of escape. While we do work alongside you to overcome these disorders, substance use disorder must be your primary diagnosis to be treated.

What should I bring to a veterans’ residential treatment program?+

Where are your facilities located?+

  • Bradford at Warrior – Located north of Birmingham, in Warrior, AL
  • Bradford at Madison – Located outside Huntsville, in Madison, AL
  • Cornerstone of Recovery – Located outside Knoxville, in Louisville, TN
  • The Estate at River Bend – Located near the Mississippi Gulf Coast, in Lucedale, MS
  • Woodland Recovery Center – Located south of Memphis, TN, in Southaven, MS

How much does a veterans’ rehab program cost?+

The cost will vary for each case and program, depending on the person’s recommended treatment plan. We accept most insurance plans and offer several payment options that make getting help for addiction a reality for any budget. We also work directly with the VA to ensure you get the best care possible at an affordable price.

Are there licensed medical professionals on site?+

Each Hero’s Path location has licensed medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel, on-site every day of the week.

How long is an veterans’ addiction treatment program?+

Our Hero’s Path campuses offer a variety of addiction treatment programs at all levels of care, which means that program length will vary. We customize our rehab programs to each patient. Our clinical professionals will determine the length of your stay depending on your needs and situation.

Is our veteran alcohol and drug rehab program covered by insurance?+

Our facilities are in network with most insurance providers. To verify your benefits, contact our Admissions Counselors at 205-947-3668. Our Admissions and Patient Financial Services teams will work with the VA or help you understand your particular insurance carrier’s coverage for addiction treatment.

Will I have a roommate?+

Addiction is a disease that thrives in isolation. Each resident will room with another veteran to encourage accountability and fellowship.

Can I smoke while in treatment at a Hero’s Path facility?+

There are multiple designated smoking areas throughout each of our campuses.
